Looking to reduce your paper towel use and save money? SKOY cloths may be your answer to shrinking your garbage while saving money. SKOY is an absorbent, biodegradable and multi-use cloth which replaces the use of sponges and paper towels. The design was based in Europe but SKOY was born from two stay-at-home mothers looking to conserve greenhouse gases, decrease deforestation and generally cut their contribution to landfills. SKOY’s website states it has an “absorption factor of 15 times its own weight”. It also lists it’s uses along with the simple care instructions. They sell unique designs on-line and at a handful of stores nationwide. With paper towels contributing to 34% of paper waste in our landfills, this is a step towards creating a greener home.
